Account Manager

The Account Manager (AM) is an outgoing, empathetic and intuitive leader. This manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the work done to make each program a reality. The AM manages complete programs to include budget management, client conference calls, venue and site selections, marketing and communications plans, and coordinator delegation (and virtual platform research and  integration if applicable).

The Account Manager will have direct interaction and face-to-face meetings (either in person or virtually) with the clients and prospects, necessitating a poised, influential communication style. Relationship building is an important requirement for success in this position. The ideal candidate is a proactive and charismatic communicator with the ability to “read” people and situations effectively. As a team leader, he or she must also have the skill to persuade others to accept changes and new ideas.

The Account Manager plays an important role in the sales process – generating sales leads, exhibiting a leadership role on sales proposals, and making client presentations. The career path of an Account Manager is to gradually progress to the Account Executive level, which handles larger, more complex meetings, events, and experiential projects.

We’re passionate about providing an inclusive workplace that values diversity. Everyone is welcome—our employees are comfortable bringing their authentic whole selves to work. Be you.

  • Own client, vendor and partner contracts to identify scope of work and changes. Manage account team hours and staffing needs.
  • Source and manage vendors and control contract negotiations.
  • Travel approximately 40% of the year – long days/light lifting. Could include physical travel or in-office ‘onsite’ execution, long hours with multiple moving parts.
  • Optimistically and effectively manage an on-site team of staff, subcontractors and vendors at each event in-person and virtually.
  • Resell current business.
  • Attend and take active role in staff and team meetings.
  • Energetically represent Wellington, an Augeo company’s brand in the community, in the industry, amongst prospective and current clients and internally.
