The Webcast Technician plays an integral role in Wellington’s growing virtual experience service. They should be organized, detailed and thrive in fast-paced environments. In-the-moment problem solving skills are crucial. Interfacing virtually with high level executives will occur frequently, so they should also be calm under pressure.
The Webcast Technician will act as the audio-visual technician on each webcasting session to produce pre-recorded, live or simulive virtual events. For each assigned session, they will review preliminary details to understand structure. They will then log in to the webcasting platform, ensure proper set-up and greet the speaker and clients as they arrive into the webcast. After all parties have logged into the session, the technician will run through a series of audio and visual checks, trouble-shooting issues along the way. After a full tech check, the technician will begin the session by either pre-recording or live streaming the content. Afterwards, they will make any necessary video cuts and prepare the final file for upload.
