OUR APPROACH: IDENTIFY – STRATEGIZE – DELIVER.
Challenge:
The Emergency Cardiovascular Care Update (ECCU) is a weeklong, biennial conference dedicated to promoting the art and science of resuscitation and improving the survival rate from sudden cardiac arrest. It draws the brightest minds in research, science, education and practice in the field of SCA and SCA survival. The conference has been hosted by the Citizen CPR Foundation for twenty years, and Wellington was challenged to infuse fresh ideas and modern technology solutions into the event.
Wellington Solution:
Wellington built a custom website and mobile app for attendees to build and manage their own agenda. To add a new element of excitement and a crescendo to the conference, we planned and executed an awareness march lead by a band, creating a ‘can’t miss’ opportunity to energize and engage not just conference attendees, but also community leaders and citizens. Event marketing was a significant component to ensure this organization attracted both return and new attendees, allowing it to continue to evolve and reinvent itself for the ever-changing industry.
Results:
The mobile app was able to help attendees manage their days and network with other conference goers like never before. Games and prizes were integrated via the app, encouraging engagement and adding new element of fun. The march was a resounding success, with thousands of people marching the streets of San Diego to raise awareness for SCA survival and generating media coverage for the event and its mission.
